    Having Difficult Conversations

    Alan Mueller, Ph.D

    Alan is a passionate advocate for authentic transformation. He started Adaptive Challenge Consulting in 2014 to help organizations navigate their greatest challenges through listening and real conversations. Dr. Mueller has worked in finance, sales, higher education and even hospitality. Through his unique journey of failures and successes, he has gained insight into organizational leadership and development. Dr. Mueller always brings authenticity and humor with him whether assisting organizations on their inclusion efforts or helping them evaluate their programs.

    Come learn to:

    1. Develop a better understanding of how to use active listening techniques outside of clinical settings.

    2. Deepen understanding of restorative justice models, and disagreement with civility espoused and championed by groups like The Quakers

    3. Gain refreshed insight on terminology that is best to use in polarized environments

    4. Build awareness of how communities of the past navigated polarization 

    This workshop is eligible for (1) NCDA CE.

    • NCCDA members may request a CE at no cost after participating for the full workshop and completing the follow-up survey.
    • Non-NCCDA members may request (1) NCDA CE with $35.00 payment after participating for the full workshop and completing the follow-up survey.
    • CE's cannot be awarded to recorded viewings
    • Non-NCCDA members may attend for free if not requesting a CE.
